South America
The crossing of South America, from Medellin in Colombia down to Ushuaia, Argentina.
About 11 months, 9 countries and 11 000km.

This part of the journey is the long-awaited part of the continent, which promises to be incredibly diverse.
It's the last long stretch separating me from the famous southernmost point in Ushuaia.
I'll travel down the continent with it always in the back of my mind.

Looking at all these photos, I wonder where to begin.
Seeing these photos, I feel like I've lived a thousand lives. And this South American part is no exception.
I'm trying to choose a few to illustrate the idea, but all these photos ultimately represent only a few seconds in a journey that lasted nearly a year.

After much deliberation, I decide to fly from Panama City to Medellin in Colombia.
This means missing out on the north of the country, but let's say that will be for another time.
And so begins the southern part of the continent with the coffee fields of Colombia. The variety of landscapes that will unfold before my eyes is endless.

Landscapes, mountains, lakes, rivers, jungle. It is the continent of superlatives.
The days grow longer, the seasons change, the altitude varies.
A continent of superlatives and incredible diversity.

And all this ultimately represents only the surface of an immense continent, to which one would have to return to disappear even further into the landscape.
It wasn't the easiest crossing, between the temperature differences, the solitude, the wind, the less interesting parts, the altitude. But what a joy it was to look at it all, knowing that at one point I was the main spectator.
