North America
First legs of my crossing of the Americas, from Alaska to Patagonia. Here is the first step, United states and Canada.
About 14 months, 2 countries and 8 000km.

Landing in Alaska, and thus begins the long crossing of the American continent, from northern Alaska to Tierra del Fuego in Patagonia.
The crossing of the continent should, at my speed, take around 4 years.

It's a wonderful part of the world, with infinite landscapes and possibilities. A little paradise for lovers of outdoor activities.
And the freedom to camp, most of the time, wherever you want, gives this part of the world a special flavour. And the rest will prove that traveling to a country where you feel safe to pitch your tent is a precious resource.

And beyond safety, there's a culture of physical activity and time spent outdoors that I really like.
Just as there are many things about North American culture that bother me.
But I had the impression that I could quite easily meet people with whom I spoke the same “language”, who understood what I was doing.

These are gigantic playgrounds, continents more than countries. So I've spent a lot of time there, much more than in the strict major part I've crossed and will cross.

But there too, you'll have to come back. Everything is designed for a lifetime of adventures.
One way or another, at one time or another, you'll have to come back.
